This course aims to provide the learner with an overview of diabetes, the symptoms, management and complications that can arise.SUMMARYIn 2013 there were 3.2 million people in the UK who had been diagnosed with diabetes. It is estimated that by 2025 five million people will have been diagnosed in the UK with diabetes.90% of people with diabetes have the more common Type 2 diabetes. Deprivation is strongly linked with higher levels of obesity, physical inactivity, unhealthy diet, smoking and poor blood pressure control.
