Working at Height

Course Overview

This course aims to provide the learner with a basic knowledge of working at height including information about injury statistics, potential hazards, risk assessment processes (including control methods), and how to use ladders and step ladders safely. The purpose of this eLearning course is to disseminate inforamation on safe practice to learners who may work at height. Employers, and those controlling work at height activities, must make sure those working at height are competent at doing so. The work must be properly planned, supervised and carried out safely. Employees must co-operate with the employer and assess the risks themselves. This course considers the various tasks that may involve working at height and how the associated risks can be reduced.
